Week # 5 Christianity, a christian's message

Yes, Christianity. It's all about a christian's story. Our aim is to provide an eye-opener to the youth today and not only for the youth, but also for the folks, as a Christian, or just even yourself.

People nowadays, have little patience, we have to control ourselves when anger is at stake at easily released but we have forgotten the words of our Lord.

Let us not be easily irritated on minor mistakes or errors of a human act, and let us just consider it as a lesson and experience.

Week # 4 Plagiarize me not

Plagiarism.
If you actually think about it, this word is viral. Viral in some case, that a human brain can adapt it so easily, it actually one of the things people are into. And what they are not aware about it, it's actually an immoral act that goes beyond jurisdiction in any matter.

It can be an educational plagiarism, a business plagiarism, whatever they call that. Well, that's one and two about what I think it actually and usually happen with.
For educational, I only exaggerate this one with such term, but it still is apply on every person, or should I say students especially on quizzes or examinations. You know what they say, the cheating processes. Shhh!
What about the business thing? Well, there is a law something about the Code of ethics. And they also lecture us about avoiding such. Because, designs can be imitated so much, sooooo.. h*ll NO with piracy.

I'm actually one of those anti-plagiarism activists, because I'm into designing too, I'm always aware about how I upload my works and share to the public. Just few of those I own were uploaded for request purposes, and sometimes, to share thoughts and ideas. It's just that, in this kind of situation, we need control. There are rules and regulations that cannot just be implemented, sometimes discipline takes place and that people around should know the moral and immoral acts, Ethics.

Week # 3 Tamaditis

Long Weekend? How would this affect the students?
Well, we all know that when you are in the students stage, wherein you study study study, for 5 days a week, or even 6, which usually apply for college students, there's always a tendency that stress and/or a mean of finding more rest days will occur. And because of stress strikes, they tend to think that he/she needs rest too, or a self-esteeming, motivating, interesting activity that studying may be set aside for awhile.

Let's go to the mall! Swimming tayo! Gusto ko muna matulog. Are the usual dialogue you would here from every mind of a student when they actually want to go Holidays for themselves. Sometimes, and more often, we also tend to here, Tinatamad akong pumasok, a very ill and critical disease also known as, "Tamaditis". This was introduced to me by my Mom when it actually hit me when I am in my high school days, like few years ago. It's symptoms are really severe. One symptom is when you wake up in the morning, you don't actually get up so easily, you wanted to continue your sleep and drool a lot. Another one is, you play with your food on breakfast, and you delay your time from it, until you realize, you're 5 minutes late, you ask your mom if you wanted to go half-day for the meantime. As far as I can remember, it's one mean if you do so much delaying tactics from what you do in everyday as a student. And the most severe symptom of this is, you tend, to not study at all, instead you do other things for good of wants.


And this actually what may lead the students when they have long weekends. You undergo such processes, until you realize, you have IT. I actually, get this disease so many times already. The usual symptoms. The tendency is, I cram a lot from projects to assignments, and even review my lectures for upcoming quizzes or examination. And the only cure from it is, THERE IS NO CURE. RAWR!

You just have to prioritize things out, and commit yourself for it. I wish I can motivate myself from commitments to do and GO GO GO.

Week # 2.5 Buwan ng Wika @ LPU Laguna

The Buwan ng Wika @ LPU? What can I say about it?
Well, first and foremost, I didn't manage my time, so I wasn't able to attend the Buwan ng Wika program.

But according to my wide range approximate hearing ability, I was able to listen some of the successions happened about the freshies' experiences from the said event. I'm not sure if they were able to win something from their booth they have created, but I do know, I see their creativity on how they have thought, brainstormed and effort with it. And I do hear a lot of noise going on at the gymnasium as the event is ongoing. I do think they're having a great time. Kudos to the organizers!

I hear lil' rumors about hostility towards the CAS Department from different departments. As an upperclass-man student and former Engineering student, now as CAS student, I just wanted to say that, Smile. That's how popular personalities get fame from it. The rumbles, giggles, rumors, haters? Don't be sad, don't be down. That's, actually, what they want, they're pulling you down, not because you're such a hinder to them but because you're already on top of them.

1/2 Teaspoon of Sugar

Wow! How time flies, don't you think? It's already the third term, if I'm not mistaken. My first half as Multimedia Arts student in Lyceum of the Philippines - Laguna. Such sweet remedy. I came from mind-boggling, frustration factory, sweet potato delusion, Engineering course and decided to go on what is best for me and wanted to pursue as my Best-Dream-Profession.

So here I am, having the best time of my life. As part of the CAS (College of Arts and Sciences) Family. Finally, I am free to do what I wanted to do. Express myself to the fullest. Experience delightful experiences. Free my mind with so much ideas on my mind. Express things out without the set of impressing people out of your works. Make new friends, share thoughts and feelings in no way of matter to be embarrass with. Do things I longing to do freely as I do it for important purposes, such as, for academics, and extracurricular, and for entertainment.

I enjoyed doing works with them, my new classmates in the freshmen level, and in the sophomore level, which will be the pioneer batch of my current course. What I mean about enjoyed, is full of excitement and fun, and since then, I smiled so much, that I didn't even have to think about farting in front of them.

I smile a lot. I learned a lot. 

The mistakes I've done for past few years, I moved on with the dilemma. Now I came up with the last decision, and pursue with it.

Now I came up with a good blender, I really hope that I'd get the best ingredients to produce a much satisfying, delightful, enjoyable, gratifying, fulfilling, comforting, pleasing, pacifying, pleasurable flavor.

Share them the output, and let them taste and see how satiating.. SWEET the world is, Life is.

Wiki-Media

What can I say about the New Media? Is it all about how people get information? the news? education? First, let us compare the media yesterday, and today. I will format it as the left word to be, the yesterday's, the next word will be from today's.
Newspaper - Internet; Magazine - Internet
Television - Internet; Love one - Internet?
Telephone - Internet; Radio - Internet

It gives a lot of advantages though. It provides easier things. For example, the newspaper, don't you miss the times that a newspaper boy throws a paper to your lawn, or the time when people get actually personal mails from distant relatives, mails that are inside an envelope and you eagerly open it and read the message, or people would actually memorize your telephone number or land line after school to ask assignments and some needed information regarding your class just recent, or listen to the DJ's or VJ's on the radio or television. Today, people would prefer doing those in the internet. Well, if you ask me, it's much convenient and hassle-free though, not to mention, rather than doing those stuffs separately, you can do it with one device, and the only thing you have to do, is to access the internet, the world wide web, the cyberspace.

It may provide advantages, but, we cannot refuse such balance that every good thing has its bad things too.
Because, internet is such a trend today, people would rather slack of and sit in front of the computer. Waiting for notifications, browsing the net to find this and those, instead on going to public libraries for books and read stuffs like articles or magazines or any written information, you can google all of it. But that doesn't mean, the google is always right. And remember, i mentioned that in the last example comparing the yesterdays from todays, people seldom meet people no matter how far you guys are, you just have to have a facebook account, register, log-in and there you go, you can add a friend as many as you want, as long as he/she is existing on the social website. What are the disadvantages? the downhills? One thing that people is concern about, especially the parents out there, kids or oldies, the people who are IN-to techies, computers, have high health risks comparing to those who don't prefer on using the computer. People need regular exercises to strengthen body resistance and etc. that covers health management. Next is, today, people are much lazier than of the yesterdays, because information is one click-away, they prefer doing the clickies to the cyberspace rather than doing it in the real world. People today, publicize personal profiles. Yeah they meet people in the easier way, but don't they ever think about the consequences? You won't even know his/her true personalities, or whatever the persons you interact with, they might even are the so-called posers, they discreetly profile themselves with an angelic view, but when you engaged with an eye-to-eye or eyeball meet with them, HELL.. I advise you take a pepper spray or any stuffs for defense mechanism-purposes with you or else.


New Media, hello to bombastic civilization with outstanding methods of communication.
Have you ever thought why I actually posted this blog entitled as Wiki-media? Because that's how media are working as time goes by, it's easier, and pretty much convenient. It provides goodies and baddies. Things goes by so fast isn't? By the way, did you know that, Wiki means fast?
Wiki-Media it is. :)

Social Media?

Nowadays, Social Media's a trend. What can I say about it?
Well, unlike the traditional method, the ways of communication tackles with the use of mails, or magazines, or newspapers, or any old-fashioned way of communication with the people around you, as long as its purpose may be, for businesses, marketing, or socializing.

Now, forums, blogs, wikis, photos, videos, ratings and bookmarking can be done in a jiffy and you can't do all of this without the internet. Welcome to 2011, or, the past few years since the internet started. Where kids at the age of 13 or maybe younger, can access through the cyberspace and socialize with people no matter how old the persons you talk with, or interact with, as long as you're with the trend today, you're IN it.

Of course, social media's not always about the socializing, conversations, and such talky-munch with people around the world. It also helps businesses with ease and much dynamic and superbly breakthroughs. Advertising through the cyberspace is much easier to get attention from the consumers. You show stuffs from it, you publicize with it, and in a click, people would view it, whether you're an Asian, black, white, tan, ghost, american, Indian, Russian, Philippians, rather a Filipino, as long as it's posted on your profile's wall, or any web hosting sites, as you advertise a product, or a thing you wanted to sell or share, then welcome, to Social Media.

Mediocrity vs Excellence

Mediocrity or Excellence?

I am in a level wherein I should be aiming a much higher statement/achievement for my life. I am stuck in an average form of doing things. I slack, I cram, I am lazy, I don't do outstanding performance. But like my Big Brother Amiel said, "we should never tolerate mediocrity in our ambition",  strikes me most of the time. Well, every words of wisdom of his never fail to punch me in the face.

Mediocrity is not really a bad thing, but it states that there is inferiority, so ordinary, and never strive at its best. And I am part of the dilemma. I always try to do and strive for the best, but I seldom fail to do so because of little glitches, mistakes, holes in the walls. And I tend to frustrate so easily that I forgot the real priorities in my life and what should I do to pursue such excellency that I wanted to reach. And then, things get usual, the things happened yesterday still go on with tomorrow. I guess that's how mediocrity works. I don't want to be the same person with such inferiority, screw you Mediocrity!

I realize things get off-hand nowadays. I did bad habits, ambitions, those activities that are not meant to be done. I tend to forgot priorities, the needs, the importance, the reality, the real world. I wanted to do different things, cool stuffs, perform such superiority that people would actually remember me from what I've done, in a good manner, a good way, a much better way, pursue excellency. And I don't guess that's how excellence works, I should do a right decision, a right definition, a right meaning, of how Excellence works.

Future eh?

The future of communication? I got two different opinions regarding about the video.


You know what? Just how I reacted on the movie "Matrix", it really give me the creeps and goosebumps. The video stated there, how it looks and what will be the future of communication in our civilization on several or few years later. And what gave me the chills on my spine is, not only the information on how things go as time goes by, they actually showed a bizarre image on the last part of it. I'm not sure what this image mean, but doesn't this portray about the Illuminati thing and such? Addition to that is, the details who actually gave the information about the tomorrow is, states that the dude came from 2051? I mean, what the?

I'm that kind of guy who actually hope and think too much. Seeing this video made me do it much frequent nowadays. Thinking that, is this really how the world would be as time goes by? Communication goes flesh-eating just to improve the understandings, articulations ,interactions and such that every individual in this world rely too much with technology? I am not against on how things work, but thinking how and what will happen as time goes by? Like one example is that memory tradings? I dearly love how my life started, I have such wonderful experiences since I walk in this world, and I don't want anyone getting the same feelings about it. That's what make me unique. I mean, I love someone, that does mean you can love her too? as how I loved her too?

On the different side of my opinion. I loved the fact how they actually made a way to perform such communication technology with easier interactions and results. They actually defied the human limitations and made across the borders of possibilities. Though the big companies and search engines emerged with other company made me want to ask questions too like, what about the social networking sites? What happened to them? What happened to Facebook? Isn't this one root on how communication today works?

I am not against of any of these things if this how the world goes. But I do hope, we won't be getting on the same place with how the movie Matrix goes.

I choose

Among the groups in our subject Communication Technology in New Media, presented for the preliminary examination, I dearly choose Arvie's group, the entertaining-educational presentation about the Evolution of Communication. I wanted to choose Louina's, but they differ with little points, according to my judgmental criteria scores between them.

I don't really do much of judging, I appreciate all of it, not because of how they did the images, transitions and effects, it's not really my criteria in scrutinizing works. I just judge it in a way that I am only a viewer, a customer, or a student. How am i entertained, what did I learn from it.

Arvie-group's presentation is a so-so amusement with their presentation. I was entertained because of the humor that they have done with their video. And what they said exactly about narrations and combining with educational statements is true, making it a fun, an enjoyable video to watch, and educational.
Meanwhile, in Louina's, I truly loved their video because on how effortly they created an animation using illustrations and animations. I really do. But I actually hesitated on voting them a-hundred-percently-vote, because of, i wasn't able to read the texts and kinda need a lil more framing, but I do get the concept flow, the story behind it, and it was really fun watching it. It really was.

So yeah, Arvie Group it is. They differ in super much little points, but I love their videos. And also the rest of the videos, Sasam's, Valdezco's! Cheers on our first ever project/exam!

I, a non-professional licensed driver

I got tired standing alone. I wanted to do something else, alone. Then, one person just came into my life and taught me how to sit, and walk.  

Every individual has their wings, yet to fly, they have to open it and teach themselves flap with their own. It takes perseverance before you get the worthy of your living. First thing you got to do is, stop, look and listen.

You have to stop for awhile before you make a move. Don't rush things. We always have to decide before you do something. You have to look up with the environment, the place, the situation. Observe things. Be cautious. We have to listen before we act. Before the first step is made, be sure it's the right decision, or at least it's what you think it is, then go on. 
                                                                                                                                  As time goes by, you, as an individual, would also need to get through with challenges in life. It may be a good one, or trouble ones. They may provide happiness, or probably give you frown-face. It's normal if you get those downfalls or the up falls. As long as you still stand up with such scenarios, you'll get used to it, and get through with it. Don't forget to tap yourself after a job well done.
                                                                                                                                  As you drive along, go on, with your life. There are so many diversion roads. If it's your first time to take those paths, don't be afraid. You're not the only one who encountered such topsy-turvy lanes. You can ask anyone for directions if you want to or you may take someone with you, as long as he/she is worthy of to be trusted, rest assured, enjoy the ride.
Have you ever passed in any of the signs lately? Pay attention to it, it may help you when you're having trouble finding your way. Those signs may probably provided for you, from Him.
Let go of your pride for awhile, don't think you can do anything or know everything, it might lead you to accidents (unintended situations or unconscious events or happenings resembled from a mistake, and mistakes are percentile of human error, sometimes resembling from an individual's personality, character, attitude), better be careful. It's better to be late than never.                                                          
The life won't be life without someone taking your hand. You meet people, you get to know each other, and you share things with your life to hers/his. Probably, he/she can be a navigator, always on the right side to help you show the ways, as he/she share thoughts and experiences, and those what's, where's and which way is it, and sometimes, you wouldn't know, he/she might have the right decision of taking those roads for you. There are so many roads you can take, and there's always an inevitable part when taking each of it, you may encounter or get to see a managing post that shows 3 lights: the red, the yellow, and the green. 


Think of the things you needed to do before you start doing anything.

Yes, the title says it all.

Well, what can you say about the party?

Of course, it was groundbreaking-hella-bombastic-intensifying-coooollisshh party.

The event was held in Lyceum of the Philippines-Laguna Gymnasium at around 6-9pm, or was it finished a lil' later than expected? So what, it is still fun, like fun that is explained not only with three letter words, or such, presumed as three explosive words. I know, so much redundancy, and too much words to explain.

Well anyway.

A really big time thanks to the Student Council who organized such tremendous event. 

Alright, enough with huge adjective strikes.

The said event was organized mainly for the freshmen level, upperclassmen are invited also to join/watch the event. The event was composed with performances, games, and other activities.

Cultural Groups: LTE (Lyceum Theatre Ensemble), performed about the calamity breakdowns and issues in our country, not to mention a friend of mine is also doing a great act (Bebzi Polo); LCS (Lyceum Concert Singers), performed a standing ovation, a mere theatrical and singing execution, along with the new members of the group; LDT (Lyceum Dance Troupe), performed, danced and let the crowds plead and reach out there guts for them, as they let the audience drool for more exhibitions.

There are also performances from different colleges/departments and what got my attention is, from our very own MMA's presentation and slogan (second photo).

Of course, it won't be a graffiti party without the graffiti(s) on every shirts worn by every students in the event.

I did have signatures from several buddies, pals, friends and known people.. and yeah, some were, chics I don't even know from the freshmen level, abcomm students *blush* and from a very special person, Dianne Serrano. *smiles*

It was a tiresome event, i know I use too much event word. I took photos for documentation purposes, and I know I'm not really an industrious person when it comes to uploading photos, too lazy, but I'd do it for you. teehee!

Looking forward to next events that will be coming and happening in Lyceum of the Philippines - Laguna. 

I am a Lycean! Be a Lycean!

Asia, Internet Junkies

ASIA, is said to be, the widely user of internet per seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years. 

That includes, China, which actually stated that 44% of their population is using the internet most of their times. How about Korea? and Japan? And yeah, Philippines.

It shows that in our time, it's already normal or a trend for people to go pop on their beds and go on their desktops as they open their social networking sites, check notifications or mails and do chitchats with people who also goes with the same routine. It shows that, we usually explore things, get information, broaden knowledge, virtually. We tend to browse the internet, find stuffs, which is which, who is who. It may give advantage for people who does advertising, and/or connect with your relatives or love ones who actually lives far from your place. For business purposes, it is an advantage. For telecommunication purposes, well, yeah, it also is.

But in every advantages that were given, we cannot always think it will always give good things for you. It also lead for disadvantages. In terms of socialization. Yes it's easy to find people with social networking sites. You add people, you make friends with them. But it doesn't mean it will always give you 100% security. He/She could be, a so called poser, a fake person who impersonates a person and proclaims the same characteristics,  and chances are, could lead you to worst cases. Or, he/she might someone who ask for personal details, like your real name, your address, your contact numbers, be careful, we cannot trust them.

Also, people today has the same dilemma, for being a wide user of internet. They actually prefer staying at home than go outside. In terms of health, it accumulate health risks. Once physical activities are seldom done or is not regulated to do so, which is actually a daily thing, you might just bloat there and, yeah, heart risks, some terrible diseases or body situations, whatever the medical terms called that.

I hope our society today would realize that the world outside is much worth it than the world inside digitally. But, I am not against the situation with our time today, or the convergence. I just want to say, Let's pray. I know it's random, but It will help you socially, physically, emotionally, spiritually.

So Asia, is the known as the wide user of internet, but people would do the same thing, and as time goes by. You would do the same thing even if it's a mean of living today or tomorrow.

It has advantages and disadvantages. I use the internet so much, it's actually a part of my daily routine.

Why Lyceum?

A couple, rather, a few years ago, innocent years, here it is, a big step for a big guy. Looking for a university or a good college requires perseverance. A slight pressure would actually hit you, thinking, what course to pursue?

I passed some of the exams in different colleges, I took entrance examinations from seminaries. Yeah, I wanted to be a priest. A distributor, a contributor, a God's messenger. But one priest I've known like years, actually encouraged me to go to the outside world for a while, and let myself decide which is which. It hit me big time, since I really wanted to be a different me.

My dad suggested me any engineering courses or fields. I did took dad's suggestion. The question is, where? 

I found Lyceum Institute of Technology, today's Lyceum of the Philippines - Laguna.

It offers a lot of courses I wanted to try or take. And then, I found Computer Engineering. Why? Well, from the moment I was taught to use the Computer, it actually made a big adaptation of addiction of subtracting a multiplication of divisions, in other words, I depend too much on computers, It has made operations in my life with it. I guess that's how computer gives big impacts to/for people today. Anyway, we all know that people today depends on the intelligence tomorrow, so yeah, Computer Engineering it is.

Skipping to details on how my college went through. I fail so much, I end up giving up the Engineering thing. I know I made so much mistakes already, like years, and I know I did couple of bad things recently, but that doesn't mean I have to give my life up from a big stupid mistake. I decided to take my real interest as a college student.

Now, as AB Multimedia Arts student, Why Lyceum?

I want to elaborate it with bullet form but i prefer writing it with my 10 fingers. One, it's because of the environment. Lyceum has a peaceful environment, yes it is. Two, it's Laguna. Pretty rare for a college/university to offer such course, it is usually offered in Manila Areas/Universities. It's Laguna, It's the best province in the whole wide wide wide nation. Three, it is 22km away from our place, no need to find dormitories or boarding houses, it only cost me 35php with a/c bus. Four, the price is right. Of course, people will always check financial stuffs, tuition, daily expenses. Five, ISO certified. Good College with good reputation comes with good opportunities. Six, they have Mac Lab! Seven, community is nice, cool, approachable and friendly. Eight, most of the courses are already PAASCU accredited, big time reputation it is! Nine, I am a Lycean Artist! *smiles*

Actually, I really wanted to be a Lycean, and graduate here.

I am actually a newbie, an internet slang that refers about being a beginner, when it comes to writing a journal or posting in public about how I feel or what to share about whatever you are gonna tell them, as your 10 fingers press some of the keys on your keyboard connected with your CPU, Central Processing Unit, or people refer it as the body of a computer, and as you think and write a good article about something in your mind, It may be entertaining, expressing yourself, or just plain being stupid for a moment, you're actually making a good influence to people around you as they read any of your articles, or entries, or posts. It may give a good reputation, or a good impression for you. And as you get all of those stuffs, you are actually, and already, giving yourself a good introduction to the public.

I am currently exploring the world of blogging, so if you want to tell me something about something, I would suggest you tell yourself that something or else, it would do something to you.
